Iran is the fourth largest exporter of raisin in the world by exporting more than 150,000 tons (2015-2016).


There are different varieties of Iranian raisins: Sultana, Golden, Sundried Green and Long raisins. Iranian raisins are among the finest raisins in the world. Principally its price and quality is the advantage of this product compared to the other big producers.

Sultana is made of the best seedless grapes. To reach the desired quality, all raisins are washed and sorted twice in each process and then dipped in edible oil and then dried.



Golden raisins are made from quality Thompson Seedless grapes that are treated with sulfur dioxide (SO2), and flame-dried to give them their characteristic color.



Sun-dried, miniature raisins that are much darker in color and have a tart, tangy flavor. This type of raisins are dried directly buy sun and no additional materials are added to them.



Green raisins also known as Kashmary raisins, produced from local type Iranian raisins. This kind is famous for its special sweet and sour taste and its long length shape.

Malayer, situated in west of Iran, is the city that is ranked the first in production of raisins in this country and 6th in the world. These fat-free Malayer raisins are excellent source of fibers and antioxidants. It’s cultivated and harvested at the vendors premises in a natural and hygienic way without use of any chemicals. They are extensively used in variety of dishes and cuisines.

Kashmar, in Khorasan region, situated in east of Iran, is famous for its organic raisins. These raisins called also long raisins or Kashmar raisins are produced from seedless grapes that are local Iranian type and are famous for its special sweet and sour taste and its long length shape.
